The first quarter of 2020 kicked off with a bang. As a Type A personality, I was on cruise control and enjoying the ride.
From my perspective, the detour seemed to be just a narrowing down to a one-lane road ahead. I only had 50 miles to go, so not a big deal. Detours are usually only a few miles, or so I thought. Suddenly, another detour appeared with a flagman waving a sign for traffic to slow way down. Then the traffic stopped! Now, I am at a crawl. That detour sign read “COVID-19”.
What was going on? What could I do? I followed the directions and continued. The detour had more flagmen with various flags for changing speed limits and lane changes, as well as unexpected bumps along the journey.
COVID-19 has been a detour for 2020, but I have learned many valuable lessons because of it. Below are 10 of the lessons I have learned on the One-Lane Road Ahead.
