Are you speaking self-love?
As I was thinking about celebrating love in February with my dearest ones, I began to ponder self-love. What is it? Do I love myself and create a practice that brings me happiness? Am I investing in a self-love routine?
What is self-love?
Self-love means having a high regard for your own well being and happiness. It means not settling for less than you deserve. When you love yourself, you accept who you are; your total being with weaknesses and shortcomings. Many people think self-love is the same as narcissism, but it is not.
Why is Self-love important?
Self-love is important because it creates happiness, confidence, a positive body image, and an optimistic mindset. You have compassion for yourself. Negative thoughts or words that others may say about you do not rule you. You take ownership for knowing who you are, and you connect with your authentic self.
Self-love tips
- Remind yourself you are worthy of love and respect.
- Practice self-love, be kind to yourself and open your heart to who you are.
- Remember, do not allow other people to define who you are.
- Take ownership of who you are.
- Be positive and feel good about who you are, and let it empower you.
- You Deserve It!
